Mary-Elizabeth Gifford

Mary-Elizabeth Gifford is chair of the Global Wellness Institute’s Psychedelics and Healing Initiative. Her background is rooted at the intersection of plant remedies, regenerative agriculture, responsible travel, and public health. She joined the team at Psyence from a Washington, DC, nonprofit, The Center for Mind-Body Medicine, global experts in trauma healing. A trusted voice for health justice, she’s presented at the National Press Club, on Capitol Hill, and elsewhere. Known for her inclusive approach to leadership, Mary-Elizabeth led the Board of Directors of Demeter-USA, the USDA-authorized certifier of Biodynamic farmlands, and served on the Board of The Center for Responsible Travel. She was educated at Brown University, with a post-graduate year of study at Harvard. She lives in Washington, DC.
