Tony co-founded Hemporium, Africa’s first cannabis/hemp company in 1996 and has been instrumental in helping to change laws, hearts and minds in the use of plant medicines in Africa and beyond. A thought leader in cannabis, he speaks regularly at industry gatherings. In April 2020, he was recognized by the US-based Cannabis Business Awards, which named him one of its 100 Global Cannabis Icons. Tony was previously the Director of Government Relations and Strategy for Canopy Growth Africa.
